In Office Laser and Surgicenter
We are pleased to have one of the few insurance approved "in-office" laser and SurgiCenters. Equipped with the latest technology and equipment, procedures may be performed in a comfortable, safe and relaxed non-hospital atmosphere with the aid of a Board Certified Anesthesiologist.

Refractive Surgery
Tired of wearing glasses or contacts? Using either the excimer laser or a diamond blade, refractive surgeries are brief outpatient procedures that eliminate, or minimize the need for glasses or contact lenses. Ask the doctor if you may be a candidate. For more information about Refractive Surgery please click here.

Laser Procedures
Laser "surgery" takes only a few minutes to perform. Near sightedness, astigmatism, farsightedness, removal of an "after-cataract", glaucoma, and diabetes are just a few of the conditions that can be treated in our office with lasers. Excimer, YAG, argon and tunable dye lasers are available in order to provide the best laser for each condition.

Eyelid Surgery
Men and women alike often complain of their upper lids feeling heavy or drooping into their vision. Bags below the lower lids give the appearance of added age and of being tired. We can treat these conditions easily and effectively in our comfortable outpatient Surgicenter.

Upper Lid Blepharoplasty is the medical name for a procedure that removes excess skin from the eyelids. In addition to improving the facial appearance, upper lid blepharoplasty can also improve eyesight, in cases where the eyelids overhang to the extent that they interfere with vision. The procedure is performed by making an incision along the crease of the upper eyelid. Excess fatty tissue and sagging muscle are moved and the drooping skin is trimmed. The incision is sutured so that any scarring will be hidden in the natural crease line. For a few days after the surgery, it may be difficult to close the eyelid entirely until the swelling recedes. The eyelid may also be bruised for a short time. It may help to apply cool compresses to the eye and elevate the head while resting. Most people are able to return to their normal routine about a week after the surgery.

"Incisionless" Lower-lid Blepharoplasty is a procedure that removes excess fat from the lower eyelid. Lower-lid Blepharoplasty can be performed without any skin incision. With this "no incision" technique there is no scar on the exposed lower lid, thus eliminating the undesirable "surprised look". Anyone with "bags" or puffy lower lids may be a candidate for this procedure.

Not all patients need the same procedure. Our training in Oculoplastic surgery allows the correct procedures to be tailored to the specific problem.

Cataract Surgery: Surgery without Stitches
While not dangerous, cataracts may cause significant problems with vision. Glare, the need for brighter light, or foggy vision may all be signs of cataracts. Cataracts are the number one cause of poor vision among adults. Over two-thirds of the population over age 60 have a vision problem from cataracts.

"No-Stitch" cataract with lens implant surgery is the most advanced surgical treatment for cataracts available anywhere.

The actual procedure usually takes no longer than 15 minutes and only drops are used to numb the eye during surgery instead of any type of injection!

There are no post operative restrictions after this procedure!

No patch, no suture, there is only a small incision for the foldable intraocular lens which allows you to take a shower, bend over and even drive to and from the procedure!
