years. He is a full

Ophthalmology at Long
Beach Memorial Medical
Center, and Admissions
interviewer for Cornell
University are a few of
Dr. Hartman's many, many
honors.
In 1978,
Larry
A.
Pasquali
became Dr. Ronald
Hartman's first partner.
They have one of the
longest established
ophthalmology
partnerships in
California. Dr. Pasquali
is well known as a legal
expert in the field of
ophthalmology. As a
Clinical Professor of
Ophthalmology at U.C.
Irvine, Dr. Pasquali has
been honored numerous
times as "Professor of
the Year".
In July 1990,
Carl
T. Hartman,
M.D.,
joined his father and
Dr. Pasquali and the
practice has continued
to grow. Performing
refractive surgery, as
well as corneal
transplantation added
additional dimension to
the practice. As a
Clinical Professor of
ophthalmology, Dr. Carl
enjoys lecturing in
neuro-ophthalmology at
The University of
California, Irvine.
Trinh
T. Nhu,
M.D.
joined the practice in
1997 with the opening of
the Los Alamitos office.
She has been key in the
formation of this
practice. Today she
practices in both
Lakewood and Los
Alamitos. Dr. Nhu is a
well respected surgeon
and an Assistant
Clinical Professor of
Ophthalmology at The
University of
California, Irvine.

L. Clay,
M.D.
In 1998, the physicians
of Lakewood / Los
Alamitos Eye Physicians
proudly opened The
Lakewood & Los
Alamitos Eye Physicians.
Managed by Dr. Carl
Hartman, this state of
the art facility is the
only local center to
offer both Nidek
scanning slit and VISX
broad beam excimer
technologies. Dr.
Hartman is a highly
experienced refractive
surgeon and has
performed thousands of
